Still new enough to remember what the new breeder needs, but experienced enough to offer expert advice.

Lualto Alpacas is owned and operated by Graham Lugg and Tim Toshack.

We commenced in 2003 with the purchase of 2 wethers and a pregnant female after we moved to a 25 acre property at Bowning (near Yass).

We quickly became passionate about alpacas and our herd increased rapidly over the next couple of years to a number unsustainable on the 25 acres (approximately 100 animals). The decision had to be made as to either sell some of our ever growing herd or move to a bigger property. All the alpacas were packed up and moved to the new property of 110 acres in 2005 (still within the Bowning/Yass area).

We have sourced our animals Australia wide, acquiring some of the best genetics available within the alpaca industry. They include, Purrumbete Highlander, Windsong Valley Royal Inca, Blue Grass Centurion, Shanbrooke Accoyo Tulaco, Windsong Valley Iceman and ILR Peruvian Auzengate.

The decision to source these top genetics has proven worthwhile as a number of the progeny of our sires are gaining ribbons in the show ring.

For friendly advice please contact us regarding any aspect of our animals or alpacas in general. Farm visits are always welcome, however, we request that you contact us first to determine a time as we are often out showing our animals off to the wider alpaca community. We would also encourage any new breeders to contact us and arrange a visit where you can come and visit and observe, and even help if you desire, with husbandry procedures. Find out what is involved before embarking on the wonderful world of alpacas.
