Lualto Alpacas will open their farm to the public with two other leading alpaca studs in the Yass region on Sunday 20th November 2011 to showcase alpacas to the wider community. The three studs, Coraz & Tallo, Lualto and Marchmont Park will be available to explain the benefits of farming alpacas and all that is required to embark on a successful small farming enterprise. There will be displays of animals along with products that has been created from the remarkable fleece that these animals produce. All aspects of the animals wellbeing will be explained including what is required in regard to vaccinations and feeding and what to look for when purchasing an animal. Fleece charactistics will be explained and why one type of fleece is better then another. There will be both Huacaya and Suri alpacas on display.
There will be a demonstration from the Yass Spinners and Weavers group throughout the day.
If you have ever thought of farming alpacas this is the perfect opportunity to find out if this is the animal for you.
The Open Farm will be held between 10.00am – 4.00pm at Lualto Alpacas – 130 Davis Lane, YASS
